OUR SCHOOL

Lithgow High School is a proudly comprehensive and co-educational school of over 1,000 students. The school has strong academic, sporting and cultural traditions and is at the forefront of providing a broad curriculum and student-centred progress.

The school serves students within and beyond the Lithgow valley, which has a district population of approximately 20,000. Lithgow, a city 150 kilometres west of Sydney, is an industrial and commercial centre in a rural setting. Local industries include: mining, power generation, railway, defence, tourism and services.

We provide opportunities for all students to achieve aspirations in a safe, welcoming and equitable environment where parent, school, industry and community partnerships are valued. Relationships are based on respect, trust and the valuing of individuals.
