Ravenswood School for Girls

Welcome to Ravenswood

As the first Visible Wellbeing School in NSW, Ravenswood understands that wellbeing and academic success are inextricably linked.

In 2022, 131 students sat the HSC and 30 sat the IB with the Class of 2022 achieving extraordinary results. Four IB students attained perfect International Baccalaureate scores of 45 out of 45, placing them in the top 1% of IB students in the world. The IB scores of three of these students converted to the highest possible ATAR of 99.95.
One Year 12 HSC student also received the highest possible ATAR of 99.95 – one of only 48 HSC students in NSW.

Recent graduates gained entry to prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, the University of Oxford, New York State University and Imperial College London.

Principal Mrs Anne Johnstone is internationally recognised for her pioneering work in the field of Positive Education and youth wellbeing. She is the 2022 recipient of the Phyllis Evans Medal from the Teachers’ Guild of NSW, a prize that acknowledges a 'distinguished educator of great standing'. She is also the Chair of the Australian Positive Education Schools Association (PESA), Vice-Chair of the International Positive Education Network (IPEN) and holds a master’s degree in Positive Education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ravenswood is proudly a non-selective school. The recognition of the uniqueness of each student as a learner underpins our Learning Framework from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.
