Pastoral care is an essential dimension of our education at Sydney Adventist College. Our pastoral care philosophy and goals are focused on social interaction and acceptance – across all aspects of our students’ schooling. Pastoral care at Sydney Adventist College happens because a personal interest is taken in each student, in an atmosphere of respect and love. It is expressed through the teacher’s personal commitment to whom each student is, and what they can become. |
Our middle school provides a ‘safe place’, where students are supported and assisted as they transition from childhood to adolescence. Academic opportunities are maximised, while emotional, physical, spiritual, relational and academic development is protected by the middle school’s stable and supportive environment. Our middle school provides the nurturing support and care of a primary classroom, yet at the same time offers access to the excellent facilities and subject choices of a high school. This supportive environment provides for the academic, physical and social development of every student. |
Our senior school has established an energetic and challenging environment for students to complete their final four years of secondary education. The close and supportive working relationship between students and staff provides an atmosphere for individual accountability and achievement. Throughout Years 9 to 12 our educational program is designed to encourage the successful completion of the NSW Higher School Certificate, at the same time supporting the development of each student’s personal growth and character development. |
