Our 'Football Education Beyond Excellence' and 'Netball Education Beyond Excellence' programs were formed to allow students with a passion for the games of World Football and Netball, to train and develop under the skilled guidance of elite coaches. Our World Football program is fully accredited by the Football Federation of South Australia (FFSA), while our Netball program is fully accredited by Netball SA. The program aims to provide students the opportunity to develop their sporting potential towards the 'elite' level, while maintaining their performance in academic studies. |

Gleeson College, Golden Grove, recognises the ever-increasing importance of improving its ecological footprint. As a community, in conjunction with local businesses, an Urban Forest Development was implemented in 2008. Students have since planted over 500 trees, which will offset the College’s carbon dioxide emissions, recover landscape and nurture biodiversity. Around the College we have also had over 800 native plants planted by State Flora. Gleeson has also adopted various other water and electricity initiatives, including recycling boxes in classrooms and the option of electronic issues of the College newsletter, as the school works toward being carbon neutral. |
