St Peter's Girls' School

About St Peter's Girls' School

St Peter’s Girls’ School is located on one campus, just six kilometres from Adelaide’s CBD. It is surrounded by natural bushland. Students from Pre-School to Year 12 thrive in an environment that encourages independence and resourcefulness, develops firm friendships and promotes shared goals.

At St Peter’s Girls our students dare to ask questions and look at things from multiple perspectives, dare to challenge stereotypes, dare to show initiative and take risks and have an innate persistence that allows them to get up and try again when things don’t work out.

Why a girls' school?

Why choose an education for your daughter at St Peter’s Girls’ School? Is it the dynamic curriculum, the expectation of excellence in academic, sporting, co-curricular and artistic pursuits, the grounds, or the Anglican heritage? All of these are compelling reasons. Enabling a girl to be the best she can be is not just rhetoric, but lived experience in all aspects of school life.

Gifted Education

St Peter’s Girls’ School welcomes girls with a range of abilities and, as part of ensuring all students reach their full potential, we will provide gifted and talented students with access to rigorous, relevant and engaging learning opportunities. The EDGE program (Extended, Differentiated and Gifted Education) is the instrument to support the realisation of these educational aims.

Grounds and Facilities

St Peter’s Girls’ School is situated on 11 acres of manicured gardens and grounds, scattered with heritage buildings and bordered on two sides by natural bushland.

Our magnificent surroundings complement the excellent facilities the School offers and allows students of all ages to learn, grow and play in a stimulating and inspiring environment.

The School boasts a myriad of information technology facilities including computer laboratories, interactive whiteboards scattered throughout the School, desktop or laptop computers in every classroom, a multi-media theatre and Junior School and Senior School Resource Centres.

The School also has scientific laboratories that cater for each of the major areas including physics, chemistry, biology and general science. The School has completed building a $4.3 million Arts Centre, which includes a 600 seat auditorium, stage, upper and lower foyers (when the lower level is in a retracted position), a sprung floor and dance studio. In addition we have a dedicated drama room, music rooms and several individual music tuition rooms. The Arts department is well served by both a Junior School and Senior School Art Room, a Textiles Room and a Food Technology Centre.

Our sporting facilities are able to accommodate a wide range of sports and activities. We have a heated outdoor (25m) pool, gymnasium, six tennis courts, two soccer/hockey pitches, a number of netball courts and a multi-purpose indoor sports stadium used for basketball, volleyball, badminton, gymnastics club, aerobics and other sports.
