Robina High has several programs which motivate and promote excellence in students.
The Kingfisher Program aims to mentor students with talents in sporting, cultural, civic and/or academic pursuits by providing an environment where students are given opportunities to enrich their abilities. With one class at each year level, students enjoy meeting together through various activities and encouraging each other in their individual endeavours.
The Robina State High School "League for Life" program is a comprehensive approach to schooling that uses rugby league, associated principles and essential life skills as the vehicle to drive curriculum. The program runs from Years 8-12 and combines team sport, curriculum, literacy, numeracy, IT, life skills, fitness and enterprise. Working with the Gold Coast Titans it is proving to be an excellent avenue for engaging otherwise 'at risk' students. The "League for Life" program has already won several state and national awards - the most recent being the 2009 Education Queensland Showcase Excellence Award. |
