Excellence in Education

Norwest Christian College provides cost-effective, quality Christian education to students from Pre-School (age 3) to Year 12 on one campus in Sydney’s North West. We are located on fifteen acres of rural land just 10 minutes from Rouse Hill Town Centre. We aim to build on the three decades of service to our community by continuing to provide for Sydney’s fastest growing region.

Our Mission is ‘Excellence in education, Christianity in action’. We engage students in a dynamic learning environment, focused on supporting the individual child. Our highly professional staff demonstrate the character of Christ in their active care and support of students. They provide their students with the opportunity to care for and serve one another and their world; locally, nationally and globally.

Preparatory to Primary

Our outstanding Preparatory program prepares students wonderfully for Kindergarten. Our Primary students experience an engaging, responsive environment which caters for each child’s needs. All our Primary students receive specialist language and music tuition from specialist trained teachers.

Secondary School

We manage the transition to high school through our Year 7 Home Program which provides a Home teacher for a range of core subjects to guide students through their early Secondary Years.

We support our Senior students through their studies via a range of programs. The Academic Accountability program assigns students a personal mentor to assist them.

Extra Curricular Music Program

There are many performance opportunities for students involved in Creative and Performing Arts at Norwest. The College places an emphasis on developing each student as a whole person, of which music plays an important part. Students are encouraged to join co-curricular groups and/or participate in the instrumental program.

AFL Talented Player

As well as offering many sporting activities, the College also runs an AFL Talented Player Program. The aim of this program is to offer talented AFL players in Years 7-12 the opportunity to receive expert training and coaching in conjunction with their College education. The program is jointly run with AFL NSW/ACT who provide professional skill and fitness sessions on a weekly basis throughout the year.

Before and After-School Care

The College provides for the care of school aged students before and after school on all school days. The well equipped Out Of School Hours Care centre and its very experienced staff offer working parents a caring environment for their children. The centre promotes learning and physical development with particular emphasis on play, social interaction and recreational experiences and operates an Active After School Sports program offering children an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sporting activities.
