Aitken College was established in 1999 and has rapidly grown into an established and prominent low-fee independent school in the north-western area of Melbourne. Total enrolment in Years Prep to 12 is 1200 students divided into five schools catering for age-appropriate academic and social needs. In addition to a focus on academic achievement, the College offers inter-school sport, House activities, an extensive performing arts program, welfare support and Learning Centre for individual needs. Set in an attractive rural setting on over forty acres, the College features Sports facilities, Chapel & Performing Arts centre, Science laboratories, Technology centre, Computer laboratories and farm area. |

The academic program includes a strong emphasis in the early years on literacy and numeracy, core studies in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Physical Education and an extensive core/elective program that includes Music, Drama, Art, Information Technology, Design & Technology and Commerce. All students commence studying Indonesian in primary school and may elect to continue at higher levels. Senior students undertake a wide range of VCE and VCAL programs with Careers education and support. Over 90% of Year 12 graduates have recently been offered a tertiary education place. The Religious & Values Education program is undertaken by all students and is complemented by a weekly Chapel Service. |
