East Hills Girls Technology High, while honouring its heritage and traditions is future focussed.

The school has an enviable reputation for high academic achievement, innovation and student leadership.

There is a continuing focus on educating girls for a technological future by providing a stimulating and disciplined learning environment with a focus on technology that encourages students to achieve excellence.

The Student Support Program focuses on personal development, life skills, careers education, religious education, preparation for further study and/or work and citizenship. The special needs of gifted students are recognised and catered for, as are the needs of those with learning difficulties.

Very successful programs, such as Primary Links and ECHOS (East Hills Community of Schools) link the high school with its local primary schools to facilitate transition from Year 6 to high school and for staff to work together on middle school initiatives in Literacy and Numeracy.

International students are welcomed.

Facilities

The school stands on landscaped grounds and has a large, well-equipped library with a multi media room and an interactive classroom, computer laboratories, a video production unit, photography laboratory, two gymnasiums and specialist rooms for technological studies, sciences, creative arts and drama. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre provides students with access to sophisticated technology at an industry standard. The new gymnasium and Creative and Performing Arts and Technological and Applied Studies workshops and classrooms will provide excellent facilities for learning. There is wheelchair access throughout the school.

Sports

A program of sporting involvement is maintained by the provision of integrated, recreational and competitive knockout sports, including a variety of traditional sports and individual leisure activities such as zumba, fitness circuit training, ice skating, mini golf, yoga, rock climbing, tennis and ten pin bowling. The school has been involved in the Premier's Sports challenge to enhance students' physical fitness.

Extra-curricular Activities

Debating, band, choir, drama and dance and Duke of Edinburgh Program are offered. Excursions, student exchange programs, work experience and industry links support and extend innovative classroom experiences.
