Melbourne High School is the only selective State School in Victoria for boys in Years 9 –12. The School continues to maintain its standing as one of the leading schools in Australia, developing many of the country's finest thinkers and leaders. Enrolment at Year 9 is determined by an Entrance Examination, held in June each year. High academic expectations continue through the School, resulting in outstanding VCE results and tertiary placements. |

This means that more than 50% of students are ranked in the top 6% of students in Australia. Consequently, our students have excellent access to their choice of university courses. The focus in the senior years is maintaining breadth of experience and academic excellence. Melbourne High School offers 150 different VCE Units and access to VET Certificates. |

The School’s expectation is that students will become involved in a wide range of activities to broaden their experience of life. There is never a dull moment at the School as students and staff become totally immersed in the academic programme. This programme is strongly supported by extensive co-curricular activities which are important to the development of our students. Students are also encouraged to establish their own clubs and societies with the support of staff, funding and the Administration. |
