About Us

Marian College is a Catholic girls’ school of approximately 810 students founded in 1957 by the Brigidine Sisters. Our goal is to provide education that will empower students to be critical thinkers, to have a real sense of self worth, to be adaptive and innovative. We provide opportunities for girls to develop and exercise their commitment to social justice, and to build life-giving relationships with others. We strive to be aware of the needs of people and to respond compassionately.

Curriculum

The school has a comprehensive Core Years program at Years 7 to 10. Recent changes in curriculum at Years 9 and 10, including an extensive elective program, give students more choices than ever before in selecting units of work that complement their interests. Marian College offers a broad range of options at the Senior Years. Students have the choice of VCE, VCAL and VET programs from which to structure a course of study to suit their needs and interests.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Students are able to participate in a range of extra-curricular activities at the College, such as, LOTE Club, Science Club and Choir, as well as represent their school in sports carnivals, music performances, community activities and competitions. The combination of curriculum and extra-curricular programs offers all students a broad range of educational experiences during their time at Marian College.
