Performance and Academic Excellence

The Australian International Performing Arts High School is an exciting, innovative school for students with a passion for the creative and performing arts. Established in 2005, The Australian International Performing Arts High School is open to students of artistic ability, dedicated to nurturing talent and encouraging the highest quality in performance and academic excellence.

The school is a boutique institution, designed specifically to meet the needs of young people who, in addition to their academic studies, desire to focus on Music, Drama, Dance and/or Visual Arts. While there is a focus on the performing and creative arts, there is also emphasis on academic excellence.

Australian International Performing Arts High School seeks to brings together young people of creative ability and provides inspirational tuition and the finest instruction in a trusting and encouraging atmosphere. AIPAH strives to offers an arts rich and rigorous academic education in an international environment that fosters excellence in performance and creativity.

Our Vision

At AIPAH we believe that there is a creative capacity in all children that should be fostered and encouraged. AIPAH provides the timetable and dedicated staff to help young artists to flourish. AIPAH provides young artists with the instruction, encouragement and time that they need to develop their passion and skills. Older students are taught a discipline and commitment that enable their talent to be developed. At AIPAH we believe that talent is best nurtured when those who foster the student are themselves worthy of emulation.

AIPAH organizes visiting artists and performers to complement their exemplary permanent staff to enrich the program with master classes and allow Students to play and act and exhibit their work in company with those already contributing to Australian and international performing arts pratice.

Facilities

Located in and around a heritage-listed building with a long history of music and education, AIPAH features include a computer room, recording studio, dance studio, rehearsal and in-house performance space, along with multiple practice and recital rooms.

Performance venues are hired according to production specifications and AIPAH students also perform at corporate functions, local community festivals, awards ceremonies, eisteddfods and charity events.

AIPAH is an ideal institution through which to build a network of contacts in the creative arts. Outward looking and aware that the arts and entertainment industries turnover billions of dollars, AIPAH brings to the students working professionals with the energy and vision to make projects happen.

Producers, directors, writers, film makers and performers are regularly invited to share their stories with the students, balancing inspiration with the awareness of the perspiration it takes to forge a career in the arts.
