Sport

Clayfield College secondary students are able to participate in a wide range of sports, including Softball, Netball, Hockey, Volleyball, Athletics, Artistic Gymnastics, Football, Cricket, and more.

There is also an Elite Sports Program that assists students to balance their academic, social, and sporting aspirations and commitments. It provides talented athletes the flexibility they may need to succeed in these areas. This may involve the opportunity to train during school hours or to have scheduled study lessons to focus on the learning time they miss owing to extensive training commitments.
It is expected that a student in the Elite Sports program would be at a state or national representation level (or equivalent). Acceptance into the program is based on an interview with the Head of Health, Wellness and Sport. Each student’s timetable is constructed by the Dean of Academic Administration in conjunction with the Head of Health, Wellness and Sport.
