Our School

St Eugene de Mazenod Primary School was opened in 1990 by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate Priests. Nestled in an idyllic bushland setting, the College is taking enrolments for Prep to Year 12 in 2012, with a special focus on Middle Schooling from Yrs 6 to 9. The College is master planned for a total enrolment of 1,450 ( three drafts primary and five drafts secondary ) denoted in Phase of Learning mini communities of Prep to 5, Yrs 6 to 9 and Yrs 10 to 12.

Since the inception of the school, St Eugene’s has offered quality, inclusive Catholic education based on strong Catholic beliefs and the Oblate charism. This is enriched by a caring environment which fosters a strong sense of community, and allows each student to reach his/her full potential. The College strives to discover the giftedness of every student offering an innovative curriculum enriched through the use of state of the art technology.

Curriculum

Secondary students use mini laptops in modern spacious classrooms which have been purpose built for their educational and physical excellence. Primary classrooms are equipped with desktops. All classrooms from Prep to Yr 12 are equipped with interactive whiteboards and data projectors. The Science, Food Technology and Industrial Technology departments offer students ultra modern facilities. We offer a 'Gifted & Talented' program and also provide learning support for students with special needs.

Extra Curricular Activities

We offer extra curricular activities, among these are, chess, choir, concert band, instrumental music, competitive sports. A school musical is held alternate years for middle school and end of year concert for junior school.

Special Features

The school has many modern and new facilities including, hospitality kitchen with attached restaurant for senior students, a fully operational multi-purpose hall has now been completed and will be used for indoor sport, musicals, drama productions, school assemblies and a whole range of other activities, and a large and modern library which hosts an internet cafe.
