Welcome

Ambrose Treacy College is a Catholic College for students from Years 4-12, nestled in a leafy integrated setting next to the Brisbane River.

With over 1300 students from Years 4 to 12 and nearly 200 staff, ATC is surrounded by nature, is well-resourced, and supported by state-of-the-art facilities.

Our College is structured into three separate learning and pastoral environments with our Junior School for Years 4-6, our Middle School for Years 7-9, and our Senior School for Years 10-12.

ATC is a school that is challenging, yet friendly; demanding, yet supportive; and serious in purpose yet playful in spirit.

Learning Life

The educational environment at ATC challenges and inspires each child to achieve their personal potential in spiritual, academic, emotional, ethical, social and physical dimensions.

Teachers work to equip students for the responsibilities and challenges of the 21st century, aspiring to develop empathetic, worldly and highly literate students who know how to learn, problem solve, create, critique and reflect.

At all levels, our students are empowered to engage in learning, belong in our community and experience academic success.

And in their Senior years our students are able to choose from different Senior Pathways, including an ATAR eligible pathway, VET pathway and the Queensland Certificate of Individual Education, providing Students the opportunity to graduate with a range of certificates and qualifications, including the Queensland Certificate of Education, Queensland Certificate of Individual Education and VET qualifications.

A Sense of Belonging & Inclusion

Our College recognises a diverse student population and provides an environment where all learners feel safe, valued, and have a sense of belonging. Our Whole School Approach to Inclusion ensures that all students are provided with effective differentiation across all areas of school life – classroom environment, pedagogy, pastoral care, co-curricular and service.

And in further support, Personalised Support Plans are created for any learner with a diagnosis, who is identified as requiring additional support through our Inclusive Practices Department. Staff at the College are supported to engage with and use this plan as a framework to ensure that all learners have equitable access to the curriculum.

Co-Curricular

Our students are encouraged to embrace all activities as an opportunity to expand their experiences, further develop existing skills and find new pathways for enjoyment and connection with their peers. With the intention of offering something for every student, we provide a diverse range of opportunities with a strong focus on facilitating lifelong engagement through authentic and highly enjoyable experiences.
