Welcome to Marcellin College

Marcellin College is a leading Catholic secondary school for boys in Melbourne’s inner east. The College was foundered by the Marist Brothers and established its first campus in Camberwell in 1950. In 1963 the College expanded to Bulleen and today we provide a faith-filled and inclusive education for more than 1300 students.

Learning - A Personalised Approach

At Marcellin College, we seek to equip each student with the knowledge and skills they need to comprehend the world they live in and help them build the necessary critical and creative thinking to better understand and positively contribute to society. Our learning framework is built around Personalised Learning. In partnership with teachers at Marcellin College, students are guided to build a program of study that best supports their individual learning needs and prepares for life beyond secondary school.

Accelerated Learning Program

We have expanded our VCE options. This means that Year 9 and 10 students can undertake any VCE Unit 1&2 subject prior to commencing their VCE program of study. Students who can demonstrate a high level of growth and achievement will be able to apply for this option. This is part of our Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) options for those wishing to challenge themselves and pursue advanced studies in their areas of interest and passion.

Student Wellbeing

Marcellin College provides a comprehensive Wellbeing curriculum, which supports our boys throughout their journey at the College. Boys are taught skills and knowledge regarding self-regulation, student agency and leadership, cyber citizenship, resilience, restorative practices, reflection, growth mindset and how to be a good man. Our Wellbeing program enables us to build positive relationships and partnerships with our students, their families and the broader community.

Pastoral Care Program

Our Pastoral Care Program focuses on respectful relationships and provides learning experiences for each young man that address issues pertinent to their stage of life such as mental health, safe socialising, positive coping, stress management, respect for diversity and responsible citizenship. We have also embedded a Respectful Relationships Program to promote and model respect, positive attitudes and behaviours that is delivered by year level.
