St Kevin’s Primary School is an Independent, Catholic co-educational day school, Preparatory to Year 6. It has been recognized by the Catholic Education Office, Melbourne, as a leading school.

Education at St Kevin’s Primary School

Education at St Kevin's enables learners to develop core knowledge, skills and understandings through reflecting, thinking, working creatively, communicating and collaborating, exploring and experimenting, and creating new knowledge. Curriculum Offerings

St Kevin’s Primary School curriculum is based on the Australian Curriculum in Victoria (AusVELS) and the Religious Education Curriculum Framework of the Arcdiocese of Melbourne.
Under the Australian Curriculum, St Kevin’s Primary School offers the following learning areas:

- Health and Physical Education
- Languages- Mandarin
- Humanities and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship, Business and Economics);
- The Arts; and
- Technologies (including ICT).

In addition, St Kevin’s promotes following cross-curriculum learnings in:
- Aboriginal histories and cultures
- Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia
- and Sustainability

St Kevin’s Primary School offers a unique and enriching learning experience, being a pilot school for elearning and a driver of contemporary education practices.

At St Kevin’s Primary School, students and staff have equity of access to a variety of contemporary tools, including:

- 1:1 laptop program in the 5/6 level
- Mini Acer Aspire Laptops;

As a way of engaging students in online learning, all classrooms at St Kevin's have a learning blog. These blogs are used to deliver curriculum and to showcase student learning. The blogs enable the parent community and wider global community to provide an authentic audience and feedback to students about their work.
