New England Girls School (NEGS), is an independent School for day students and boarders located in Armidale, Northern NSW.
NEGS has a long history dating back to 1895 and is the proud custodian of 60 hectares of grounds incorporating heritage listed buildings, playing fields and an on-site Equestrian Centre.
NEGS enjoys a reputation as a leader in girls’ education and continues to be one of the largest girls’ boarding schools in New South Wales. |

NEGS offers a well rounded education which includes a variety of co-curricular activities to enhance the unique talents of every student.
There are many sports from which to choose, including horse riding. Competing in Armidale competitions and further afield throughout New South Wales and Australia. NEGS students are known for their skills, enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
NEGS also offers an extensive music program which caters for a wide range of interests and proficiency.
Other activities available allow students the opportunity to try new things, hone their skills and have fun together. |

Boarding at NEGS is a life experience and it is our aim for each student to be happy, safe and secure in residential staff aim to ensure that life at NEGS is well supervised and enjoyable, making sure that the transition from home to boarding is as smooth as possible.
A strong network of residential staff ensures a family environment exists where care and attention are available, day and night. Pastoral care and effective communication with parents is a priority.
