Christian values form the basis of our personal development program at Forest Lake College and the safety and care of our students is of utmost importance to us. In addition, our teachers value the partnership they have with parents in seeking to provide children with the skills they need to relate to others, to be resilient when they face difficulties and to develop self-confidence.
Students at the College are encouraged to develop spiritually by participating in regular chapel services with their house groups and through age-appropriate class activities. It is intended that graduates from Forest Lake College are provided with the resources and skills to be able to make informed decisions about faith related issues. Students at all age levels are encouraged to develop a willingness to serve others.
At each year level students participate in our outdoor education camping program designed to develop student's self confidence, team work and leadership skills. |

Forest Lake Colleges' extraordinary music program gives all students from Prep onwards the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument as part of the College curriculum. In addition to this, there is a wide range of co-curricular opportunities in which to participate as part of College ensembles, choirs and the musical held every second year. In keeping with the philosophy of full participation, a range of auditioned and non-auditioned groups is offered.
While Speech, Drama and Dance are offered as curricular subjects, students may choose to join a Drama Troupe or a Dance Excellence Team out of class time and enjoy performing with their friends and at College functions. |

Sport plays such an important role in encouraging students to develop healthy lifestyles through involvement in individual and team sports. From Prep to Year 3 students undertake a perceptual motor program prior to commencing the formal sporting program. Our core physical education program from Year 4 to Year 12 provides opportunities for students to acquire important physical and team skills so necessary beyond school.
Forest Lake College is a member of The Associated Schools (TAS) and Junior TAS inter-school sporting competitions, giving students the opportunity to compete in a variety of team sports in Saturday fixtures. |
