The Junior School at St Gregory's College is an exciting opportunity for the College, allowing us to establish a co-educational school catering for Years K-6 that will develop active processes of learning that focus on developing a child’s interests and curiosity as they engage with the world around them.
As a part of our commitment to a holistic education, each year our staff lead a variety of co-curricular activities for our K-6 students to broaden their experiences which aims to develop the whole child at St Gregory’s College.
Underpinned by this rich culture, the Junior School lays foundations for young boys and girls to begin their academic journey from Kindergarten through to Year 6 in a co-educational setting. St Gregory’s College Junior School offers a strong academic program, a caring and positive community and diverse co-curricular options.
Our classroom and specialist teachers provide strong, explicit teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. These core skills are fundamental in providing students with the ability to wonder, inquire and discover. With a strong focus on social and emotional wellbeing, our students are encouraged to be agile learners who can make a sustained and positive difference in our world.
Our specialist Literacy, Sport and Language Teachers provide students with deeper, richer learning opportunities. Our students participate in an explicit literacy and numeracy program, engage in a wide range of sports programs and have the opportunity to learn about the Spanish language and culture.
St Gregory’s College Junior School is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme and pursuing authorisation as an IB World School.
