Chevalier College

Giving young hearts and minds the place to grow

Chevalier College is an independent Catholic coeducational secondary school owned and conducted by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) and set on 100 park-like acres in Burradoo in the beautiful Southern Highlands.

At Chevalier College everyone is welcome and valued. We aim to develop and nurture each student on their journey to becoming well-rounded Chev graduates. Underpinning their academic, sporting and cultural activities, students learn about the power of love, acceptance and generosity.

Chev is an MSC community that strives to produce young adults who are confident, compassionate, and poised to take their place in an ever-changing world. The college is well regarded for the extent and effectiveness of its well-being structure, where the long-term development and happiness of each student is paramount.

Educational Environment

The wide range of subjects and extra-curricular opportunities allows students to explore their interests and find their strengths. The college has joined other innovative schools in implementing the globally recognised Visible Learning approach, a practical pathway designed to improve student outcomes and create innovation in the learning environment.

Purpose-built facilities for academic subjects, performing arts, visual arts, sports, hospitality, construction and primary industries further enhance student learning.

School Community

Chevalier College is a heart-centred community. A Chev graduate can demonstrate honesty, reliability, trustworthiness and integrity, they are compassionate and proud to be a member of the college community. Influenced and informed by being part of a heart-centred community, the graduate has a faith perspective, the ability to develop and sustain meaningful relationships and the willingness to contribute to society. They are confident, resilient and independent thinkers who are ready for the next step in their lives.

Extra Curriculum Program

Chev is well-known for the wide range of extracurricular opportunities available to students including sport, music, performing arts, visual arts, academic, agriculture and leadership activities.

Other popular programs include music and vocal ensembles, mountain biking, agricultural show team, mock trial, debating, public speaking and visual art enrichment. The annual musical or drama production is always a highlight of the school calendar.

Excellent Facilities
