Arden is a vibrant, Christian-based school providing a positive learning and caring environment that inspires girls and boys to thrive. Arden is small enough to nurture and care for each child individually, yet is big enough to challenge and foster the individual talents of each student to help them fulfil their potential. The school’s dedicated and caring classroom and specialist staff pay attention to the individual needs of every student, encouraging them to be the best they can be — ensuring that, when students complete their education at Arden, they will have positive attitudes, sound values and skills to equip them for the future.
Since the Beecroft campus opening in 1922, we remain committed to being a child-centred, parent-friendly school. From Pre-School through to Year 6 and right through to Year 12, girls and boys are encouraged to do their best while they are cared for in a nurturing environment with our devoted staff ensuring each child gets the attention they need.
Arden provides quality programs in Gifted and Talented education, as well as Learning Support and Enrichment. There are many opportunities for enriched learning experiences, for instance, a violin program in Year 2 and programs designed to explore creativity and develop leadership potential.
Student wellbeing is an integral part of the policies and practices of the school with a Director of Pastoral Care (K–12), a Pastoral care team, School chaplain and Junior School Chaplin, links to local parishes and three counsellors on staff. Careers guidance is offered for Years 8 to 12, while leadership training is provided from Year 5. At both campuses, there is an active Student Representative Council.
