Marist Mission

At Marist College Eastwood our Marist Mission is to develop the faith of our students according to Gospel values, to maintain a standard of excellence in education, to provide a caring and safe environment and to make optimal use of resources and technology.

Spiritual Life

At the very heart of the college is our commitment to nurture the whole person and educate him in the Catholic Christian tradition.

Marist College Eastwood aims to help every student to develop a strong personal relationship with God, and challenge him to live the Gospel values. Challenging our students to put their faith into practice is a key factor of the co-curricular program of Marist College Eastwood.

Excellence in Learning

Marist College Eastwood strives to accomodate the range of student interests and challenges them to achieve high standards and instil in them, the capacity to strive for excellence. This focus on learning has led to consistent improvement in academic achievement with outstanding results achieved by students in the Higher School Certificate, School Certificate and NAPLAN.

More than 90% of students who applied for University admission have been successful. Marist College Eastwood has developed an extensive range of programs to help reinforce the College's focus on academic rigour and an ethos of high standards.

Learning in a technology rich environment has been critical to the ongoing academic success, with students enjoying a one to one laptop program. Marist Eastwood College runs a long day program where current and former students help other student after school to meet their work commitments.

Curriculum

Marist College Eastwood offers a broad curriculum aimed at meeting each student's learning needs. Our rigourous, challenging and extensive curriculum includes both academic and vocational streams. It is augmented by an extensive enrichment program for gifted students and a learning support unit to help assist students to fully realise their potential. The selective stream has enabled students to achieve beyond their potential. Marist College Eastwood also utilizes other strategies to meet the needs of gifted and talented students including acceleration, curriculum compaction, grade skipping and a partnership with Macquarie University.

Co-Curricular Activities

At Marist College Eastwood we have a broad co-curricular program that sees students participate in a range of sports, debating, Chess, Duke of Ed, College Band and guitar ensembles. Many students represent Marist College Eastwood at the NSW and Australian levels.

Enrichment Programs

Marist College Eastwood also undertakes an International Immersion program while sporting teams undergo a number of overseas tours.
