Northern Beaches Christian School is a Pre-K-12 independent, co-educational Christian School located in Terrey Hills. Our hope is that together we can build an enriching school community that inspires a love of learning and the growth of our students.
Our Vision at NBCS is Love Learning. Given the unpredictable and ever-changing nature of the future, our hope is to instil a love for learning in our students. In doing so, we empower them with the skills and mindset of lifelong learners so that they are ready to face an uncertain future.
We recognise that excellence looks different for every student. Within a vibrant community, our steadfast commitment to wellbeing means students are known, valued, and supported as they face the challenges and curated risks necessary to extending their learning and character.
We seek to bring out the best in our students to keep their future as big as possible. We celebrate the efforts and success of our students, whether high achievers or those who have overcome adversity to do more than they thought possible.
Our Christian foundations mean we seek to live and share the beauty of faith in Jesus. This shapes our values and culture and helps us build a community that cares for and supports one another, recognising and respecting the diversity of views and faith backgrounds of our community.
Within our world class facilities, we set high expectations in a low-stress, welcoming environment. Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to enhance learning and foster positive learning relationships in the classroom and out in the playground.
Students are offered a wide range of elective subjects, and the school's co-curricular opportunities are wonderfully broad, with a large selection of sport choices, dance and performing arts, music ensembles, outdoor education and special interest clubs. The school wants to ensure every student finds and develops their passions.
In Secondary, the annual musical is a highlight of the year. Students also take part in ‘Student Opportunity Week’, where each year they can explore their interests and develop skills in one of more than 18 special-interest programs.
An extensive bus network brings the majority of students to NBCS, from Palm Beach to Cremorne on the beaches, Hornsby to Ryde in the west, and everywhere in between.
