St Johns College has a proud tradition of academic excellence, sporting prowess, spiritual development and contributing to the community of Dubbo and beyond, since 1969. St Johns College continues to be inspired by the Mercy and La Sallian traditions. Our faith inspires us all to engage in a better way of being. Our motto of Christ is my light guides us all in the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, compassion and truth.
Learning
Our learning focus at St Johns will centralise academic care for all of our students. Learning at St Johns College is not just confined to the classroom — learning encapsulates all aspects of spiritual, social, physical and academic growth. We are committed to provide an educational environment for all of our students where they are challenged and supported in all facets of their learning. We encourage all of our students to avail themselves of the opportunities available at St Johns College whether it be in the classroom, representing the school in sporting endeavours, in building their relationships with self and others, social justice initiatives or engaging in co-curricular activities. We encourage all of our students to be courageous in their learning in the pursuit of their goals and achievements. Our aim for each student is to support them in finding a pathway that reflects their interests, provides them with options post school and to ensure that they have a better understanding of their gifts and talents when they leave our community.
Co-curricular
The Student Athlete Program sporting teams, including but not limited to; basketball, netball, cricket, league tag, tennis, rugby league and soccer. Band and ensembles College musicals and performances, art exhibitions and competitions. Tutorial, Study and Learning Extension Programs • Agriculture programs • Work Placement opportunities • Debating and Chess • STEM challenges • DaVinci Decathlon, Tournament of the Minds, Diocesan Spelling Bee and other extension experiences.
Wellbeing
As a Catholic school community we are people of hope. We believe in the dignity and inclusion of all which promotes a deep sense of belonging. Our focus will continue to be on developing positive behaviours which promote respect for self and others. The pastoral care of our students is informed by our faith and motivated by our intrinsic desire to see each student's gifts and talents grow whilst in our care at St Johns College.

It is in partnership that we ensure that your student has the opportunity to grow spiritually, academically, socially and physically throughout their journey at St Johns College. Our focus is on building stronger relationships between students, staff, parents and community to promote a greater sense of belonging for all.
Our missional value of belonging is at the core of our Catholic community philosophy. We aim for all of our students to be part of our Catholic community enriched and enlivened by our faith, nurtured and surrounded by strong relationships and a deep sense of connection. We aspire for all to feel welcome in our community, to be included and most importantly, for each student to be recognised for their individual contributions to their class, their cohort, our school, our Parish and the wider Dubbo community. Our staff teams are dedicated to providing students with opportunities to develop individual gifts and talents across wide ranging learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom to enable our students to experience individual learning growth. Our vision is to grow confident self assured students who have a deep sense of their faith, are connected by their shared experiences here at the College and who relentlessly strive to attain the goals they seek to achieve.
