Trinity Christian School

Welcome

Welcome to Trinity Christian School.
For over 40 years at Trinity Christian School, we have been equipping our students to live meaningful lives beyond school. However, the true indication of a school’s quality is not in its past but in how well its students learn to have loving hearts, enquiring minds and generous spirits. These are the core aspirations we have for our students and ones that are at the core of the Christian education we provide at Trinity Christian School. As we equip our students for their future, we help them discover the type of purpose that ignites their desire to make a positive difference in our world.

Learning at Trinity

EARLY LEARNING CENTRE
Our Early Learning Centre is an exceptional place of learning for the school’s youngest students. Children are capable learners, and they will experience a play-based program which will meet their individual needs so they can learn, grow and flourish. We value partnering with families and will provide opportunities for parents and carers to engage in community events throughout the year.
OUR JUNIOR SCHOOL
The Junior School is an exciting place where enthusiasm and engagement permeate every area of our campus. The learning experiences in and out of our classrooms are designed to inspire and motivate young minds and bodies, and encourage spiritual, cognitive, physical and social growth in each individual.
OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL
Within the Middle School, we believe that every child learns best and is most engaged when they are valued and challenged. We recognise that what is appropriately challenging for one student may be too easy or too difficult for one of their peers. We focus on ensuring that every student is challenged and supported to achieve success in their learning. All of our classes are mixed ability with students provided opportunities to develop themselves as learners. Students in the Middle School can involve themselves in a wide range of co-curricular activities including musicals, sporting teams, Arts exhibitions and tours, gifted and talented programs and special interest groups.
OUR SENIOR SCHOOL
Our Senior School maintains a strong academic record, and while we are excited for these achievements, we are also aware that not all students have this bent. The success of our creative and performing arts curriculum, the progress of our vocational education courses, and our suite of industry and technology subjects, means that graduates can explore and follow pathways into a range of careers and professions.

Music & Creative Arts

At Trinity Christian School we offer all our students the opportunity to develop their gifts and talents through our Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) subjects of visual art, drama and music.

As well as the emphasis on creative arts within the classroom, Trinity offers the following co-curricular activities and programs for interested students: Choirs, Bands and Ensembles - Junior Concert, Middle Worship, Jazz, String Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Senior Worship, Senior Concert, Music tours, Biannual Official School Musical Production, Drama performances, and Art shows and exhibitions.
We also offer private music tuition during school hours with specialist tutors in: Flute, Clarinet/Bass Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, French horn, Piano, Singing, Violin, Viola, and Drums.

Digital Technology

Digital Technology is fundamental to all aspects of contemporary society. The study of digital technologies empowers individuals to participate in a rapidly changing technological world; creating, consuming and processing content. At Trinity, digital technologies is integrated throughout the curriculum as well as being a specialist subject offering. We currently provide enrichment programs and special interest groups across the School in specific year levels, in the areas of Virtual Reality, gaming, robotics and coding.

Sport & Athletics

Sports and athletics are integral parts of the Australian Curriculum taught across Trinity Christian School. Depending on the year group, an extensive array of sports are covered within the curriculum.

Trinity competes in a range of sports from Year 3 onwards. Sports include cricket, AFL, rugby, equestrian, swimming, cross-country and athletics. Students have the opportunity to try out in a wide range of sports for representation for the Tuggeranong Region at ACT level. Trinity also has Junior School netball teams entered in weekend competitions. And in Year 11 and 12 a number of teams participate in sports including touch football, soccer and basketball. Based on performances at school carnivals and local club meets, individual students may also nominate for ACT Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Championships, followed by National representation.
